Operation Welcome Home
Join us in the struggle and be a part of the solution.
Operation Welcome Home is a community organization dedicated to decriminalizing and addressing the root causes of homelessness by providing direct services, and advocating for equitable living in Dane County, Wisconsin.
What we offer:
Our main programs are Homeless Street Outreach (HSO) and Homeless Transformative/Restorative Justice (HRJ).
Homeless Street Outreach
Our HSO program involves reaching people who are sleeping outside or in their cars and getting them connected to needed services and support to get them into permanent housing. This involves street outreach, temporary case management, and a variety of supports that help people achieve their goals.
Homeless Transformative/Restorative Justice
Our HRJ program compliments the HSO program well. This is a program that engages homeless and recently homeless people into a transformative/restorative justice process where they set goals, build community, inform needed systemic changes, and participate in community service. This is a collaboration with multiple agencies and gives an opportunity for people to pay off tickets they have accumulated while homeless, therefore removing one barrier to getting into housing.
